I’m thrilled to share that my research is moving forward in ways I never imagined possible. This month, four of my academic papers have gone live on SSRN, Humanities Commons, and Academia.edu, and the companion podcasts are all readily available to listen to here on my website.
More importantly two of the papers, are now progressing to the planning stage for the European Association of Biblical Studies annual conference being held in Leuven, Flanders region in Belgium, 2026.
The first three papers concerned the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees and the Spiritual Manifestations of my twin soul brother Darren John Chard.
Why is are these so significant? Because the ancient voices of 1 Enoch and Jubilees are not just locked away in history, they still speak, and remarkably, they resonate with what God is revealing today through lived witness.
My own testimony, alongside Darren’s spiritual presence and corroboration from Kenny Corris, a world renown psychic medium, forms the living dialogue that frames these studies. The goal is simple but bold: to show that the patterns of revelation in Scripture continue in the present, and that voices like Enoch and Mary Magdalene still matter.
So, the reason for this blog:
For centuries, Christian tradition has fragmented and diminished the figure of Mary Magdalene, conflating her with the unnamed “sinful woman” of Luke 7 and severing her from Mary of Bethany.
This distortion, crystallized in Pope Gregory the Great’s 591 CE homily, recast Mary as a penitent prostitute rather than as a faithful disciple, healer, and witness to the resurrection.
I studied the biblical evidence for the identification of Mary Magdalene and Mary of Bethany as one woman. By analyzing the four gospel accounts of the anointing of Jesus, it argues that the woman who prepared Christ for burial in Bethany is the same woman who stood at the cross and was first to the tomb.
The study then considers the historical consequences of her misrepresentation, which effectively silenced women’s leadership within the Church. Finally, it explores contemporary manifestations of Spirit that affirm this restoration of Mary’s identity, including synchronicities, revelations, and lived experiences of divine confirmation.
My work contends that restoring Mary to her rightful place is not only a matter of historical accuracy but also of theological urgency.
To recognize her as disciple and herald is to recover a fuller gospel and to heed the ongoing witness of Spirit in the present.
