🇳🇬 The Overcomers, Nigeria

🇳🇬 The Overcomers – Nigeria

A new light in West Africa, inspired by the work of Mark Edward Chard

Led by: Darey “Wizz” Adeyejesu Wisdom

“We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” – Romans 8:37 (NIV)

In the heart of one of the world’s most spiritually vibrant nations, a bold new movement is rising.

The Overcomers – Nigeria is the first national outreach inspired by the writings, testimony, and spiritual journey of Mark Edward Chard and his twin soul brother, Darren John Chard. Rooted in the living Gospel of Jesus Christ, and aflame with truth from Enoch, Jubilees, and the full Word of God — this page marks a powerful beginning.

Darey “Wizz” Wisdom is a passionate young believer from Lagos, Nigeria. Raised in a Christian family, and the son of a local pastor, Wizz has stepped forward to bring Mark’s message, and the Spirit behind it, into churches, homes, and hearts across West Africa.

He believes that Mark’s testimony is not just global, it’s for such a time as this in Nigeria.

📚 The Vision

  • To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ with purity and power
  • To introduce the deeper truths found in Enoch and Jubilees
  • To make Mark’s books available across Nigeria, through ethical, Spirit-led channels
  • To grow a community of believers passionate about truth, healing, and the Holy Spirit
  • To walk in miracles, not marketing, and in Christ, not confusion

✨ A personal message from Mark Edward Chard:“
I believe in the fire of God rising across all nations. If Christ chooses to light that fire in Nigeria through this humble effort, then I give it my blessing, and my watchful covering. May this be done in the name of Jesus, not men.”

Quote from Mark Edward Chard

“This ministry is a miracle in motion. Wizz has been chosen to help carry this torch into Nigeria. We move not in ego, but in testimony. Not in wealth, but in light. May this charter be a declaration of trust in God’s plan. May Darren’s presence continue to light the path. And may Christ, our Risen King, reign in every heart we reach.”

Father’s Heart Behind the Vision

At the very heart of The Overcomers movement in Nigeria stands a faithful shepherd of God: Rev. Isaac Oluwadare, a man whose life of prayer, teaching, and devotion has deeply impacted many, including his son, our dear brother and co-worker, Darey Adeyejesu Wisdom (Wizz).

Rev. Isaac gave his life to Christ in 1990 and received his calling into ministry just four years later. Since then, he has walked a humble but powerful road of service, training at the Redeemed Bible College in Lagos (where he graduated as best in his class), and later being ordained by Pastor E.A. Adeboye himself.

After years of faithful service within both the Redeemed and Anglican traditions, Rev. Isaac stepped out in obedience to the Holy Spirit in 2013 to found The Arrows Apostolic Ministry (The Arrows Overcomers Church).

His ministry is anchored in sound teaching, fervent prayer, and a deep longing to see lives transformed by Christ. Though still seeking a permanent home for his growing congregation, his heart remains unshaken: to raise up a people who overcome, in Christ’s name.

Today, The Overcomers is proud and blessed to stand under Rev. Isaac’s spiritual guidance. His gentle authority and hard-earned wisdom form the backbone of this new work in Nigeria. His presence reassures us that this is not just a mission,  it’s a family.

Wizz, his son, carries that same fire, passion, and calling into the next generation. His boldness and drive to connect, grow, and reach new hearts are a reflection of the spiritual foundation his father laid.

A word from Rev. Isaac Oluwadare

"Gods calling is not a bedrock for financial gain as I left the ministry of education for the ministry of reconciliation"

Together, this father and son represent both legacy and future. And with Christ at the centre, we move forward — not just as a team, but as family.

Public Statement of Support for The Overcomers – Nigeria

From the desk of Mark Edward Chard
Founder, Let God Speak Book Series

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
– James 1:27 (NIV)

I want to take a moment to speak openly and from the heart about a small, emerging ministry in Nigeria that has deeply touched my spirit.

A young man named Darey Adeyejesu Wisdom, whom many of you know as “Wizz,” reached out to me a few months ago with boldness, faith, and a desire to bring the Gospel, and the message of Let God Speak, to his nation.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that something genuine is happening through him. His words, his consistency, and his spiritual hunger reflect the early flame of something sacred.

But this message is about more than just Wizz.

It’s about his father, Rev. Isaac Oluwadare, a faithful man of God who gave up his former life to follow Christ into full-time ministry.

And it’s about the children I’ve seen in photos  little ones as young as 4 or 5, running barefoot around a tiny church built from scraps and hope.

It moved me.

And it left me conflicted.

Because as some of you know, I do not run a donation-based ministry. I do not ask for money, and I will never use the Gospel to manipulate people for gain.

But what I saw in Nigeria was not about gain, it was about need.
Real need.
Not staged or exaggerated. Just poverty, purity, and potential, standing side by side in a shack they call church.

And so I say this plainly:
I believe in this family.
I believe in their calling.
And I stand beside them spiritually as they attempt to raise up “Overcomers” in one of the most spiritually vibrant, and economically difficult, regions of the world.

What Am I Asking?

I’m not asking for money.

I’m not launching a fund.

I’m not asking you to do anything except open your heart, as I have.
To pray.
To reflect.
To care.

And if the Lord moves you to reach out to Wizz directly, or support him in any Spirit-led way, you may do so on your own terms.

His contact details are on this Overcomers Nigeria page.

This is not a campaign. It’s a witness.
A witness to Christ’s words:

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40, NIV)

If we cannot feel something when we see children playing in filth, then what has the Gospel taught us?

If we cannot speak up when others walk in quiet faith, then what is our faith worth?

Final Word

This isn't about proving who is genuine. It's about trusting the Spirit to lead, and about not abandoning those who step out in faith just because they’re poor, unknown, or far away.

I believe Wizz is trying to do something rare:
To bring light, not just to cities, but to the forgotten corners of his land.

So I will not turn away.

And I ask only this:

That we let God speak, and let love respond.

Yours in Christ,
Mark Edward Chard
